The Volinga Plugin can be used not only with standard Unreal Engine installations, but also with supported custom Unreal Engine distributions used in professional broadcast and virtual production environments.
Volinga currently provides support for:
Because these platforms use customized versions of Unreal Engine, compatibility depends on the specific combination of the Volinga Renderer, Volinga DataBridge, and the corresponding custom engine version.
Important
Custom Unreal Engine distributions may differ from the standard Unreal Engine release on which they are based. Although the configurations listed on this page have been tested and are supported by Volinga, platform-specific differences may occasionally result in unexpected behavior or issues that are not present when using the standard Unreal Engine version.
If you encounter an issue when using Volinga with Pixotope or Zero Density Reality Editor, please contact the Volinga team through our Discord community or at help@volinga.ai.
Only the version combinations listed below have been validated and are officially supported.
The Volinga Plugin can be integrated directly into supported Pixotope environments.
No additional dependencies or special installation procedure are required. For supported versions, install the Volinga Renderer and Volinga DataBridge plugins following the standard plugin installation process.
Pixotope support is available for the following configurations:
| Renderer Version | DataBridge Version | Pixotope Version | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.11.0 | 0.3.0 | 26.2.3 | ✅ Supported |
| 0.9.0 | 0.1.0 | 25.3.2 / 26.1 | ✅ Supported |
Make sure that the versions of both Volinga Renderer and Volinga DataBridge match the supported combination for your Pixotope version.
Installation in Pixotope follows the standard Volinga Plugin installation procedure. No Pixotope-specific dependencies or additional configuration are required.
Copy the following folders:
VolingaRenderer
VolingaDataBridge
into the Plugins folder of your Pixotope project.
The resulting project structure should look similar to:
YourProject/
├── Plugins/
│ ├── VolingaRenderer/
│ └── VolingaDataBridge/
└── YourProject.uproject
If the
Pluginsfolder does not exist in your project, create it manually.
Once installed, launch your Pixotope project and verify that both plugins are correctly loaded.
The Volinga Plugin can also be used with supported versions of Zero Density Reality Editor.
Unlike Pixotope, Reality Editor requires an additional dependency for Volinga to operate correctly. The required dependency may vary depending on the Volinga and Reality Editor versions.
The installation instructions below apply specifically to Volinga 0.11.0 with Reality Editor 5.8.
Reality Editor support is available for the following configurations:
| Renderer Version | DataBridge Version | Reality Editor Version | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.11.0 | 0.3.0 | 5.8 | ✅ Supported |
Volinga Plugin requires the additional Unreal Engine plugin PythonFoundationPackages to work correctly with Reality Editor 5.8.
Important
Install PythonFoundationPackages before installing the Volinga plugins.
The PythonFoundationPackages plugin is provided together with the Volinga package for Reality Editor 5.8.
Copy the PythonFoundationPackages folder into the Experimental plugins directory of the Reality Editor 5.8 Engine installation.
The default installation path is:
C:\Program Files\Zero Density\Reality\5.8\Engine\Plugins\Experimental
After copying the plugin, the resulting path should be:
C:\Program Files\Zero Density\Reality\5.8\Engine\Plugins\Experimental\PythonFoundationPackages
If Reality Editor is installed in a custom location, use the equivalent
Engine\Plugins\Experimentaldirectory inside your Reality Editor installation.
Once PythonFoundationPackages has been installed, install the Volinga plugins in your Reality Editor project.
Copy the following folders:
VolingaRenderer
VolingaDataBridge
into the Plugins folder of your Reality Editor project.
The resulting project structure should look similar to:
YourProject/
├── Plugins/
│ ├── VolingaRenderer/
│ └── VolingaDataBridge/
└── YourProject.uproject
Once installed, launch your Reality Editor project and verify that both plugins are correctly loaded.
If the
Pluginsfolder does not exist in your project, create it manually.
